Early discussions of Alice: Otherlands took into consideration the idea of producing a series of animated shorts where Alice would be exploring and learning. It seemed a shame to take such a vibrant period in time and restrict it to London; Impressionist painting was at an all-time high in Paris during this decade. Art Director Nako, still finds inspiration in this idea as can be seen in this image of Alice in Seurat’s mind.
